Working Principle

The laser beam is transmitted and focused on the surface of the material through an optical mechanism, and the material at the point of action of the high energy density laser beam is rapidly vaporized to form a pit point. The computer controls the x-y console to drive the laser head to move and control the laser switch as required. The computer stores information in binary, which coincides with the two states of the laser switch. When reading information from the computer in sequence, the laser head scans back and forth line by line from left to right and from top to bottom along the scanning track. Whenever a “1” point is scanned, the laser is turned on, and when a “0” point is scanned, the laser is turned off.

The advantages of CO2 laser engraving machine are as follows:

Wide processing range: Almost any non-metallic material can be engraved and cut, such as paper packaging, plastic products, label paper, leather fabric, glass ceramics, resin plastic, bamboo and wood products, PCB boards, etc.

Safe and reliable: Non-contact processing will not cause mechanical extrusion or mechanical stress to the material, no “knife marks”, no damage to the surface of the workpiece, and no deformation of the material.

Precise and meticulous: The processing accuracy can reach 0.02mm.

Eco-friendly: The beam and spot diameter are small, generally less than 0.5mm, and the cutting process saves materials and is safe and hygienic.

Consistent effect: The processing effect of the same batch is guaranteed to be completely consistent.

The application fields of carbon dioxide engraving machine (CO2 laser engraving machine) are very wide, including but not limited to the following aspects:

Advertising industry: can be used for two-color plate engraving, acrylic engraving and cutting, sign engraving, crystal engraving, trophy engraving, authorization card engraving, etc.;

Crafts industry: can be used to engrave exquisite patterns and texts on wood, bamboo, ivory, bone, leather, marble, shells and other materials;

Leather clothing processing industry: can be used for complex text and graphics engraving, cutting and carving and hollowing out of synthetic leather, artificial leather, cloth, fur, etc.,

Model industry: used to make sand table building models, aircraft models, etc.;

CO2 laser cutting machines have the following disadvantages:

Limited metal material cutting: For most metal materials, especially metals with high reflectivity, such as copper and aluminum, the cutting effect is not good.

For example, when cutting copper materials, the laser energy is easily reflected, resulting in low cutting efficiency or even failure to cut.

High energy consumption: A large amount of electricity is consumed during operation, which increases the cost of use. Compared with other types of cutting machines, the electricity bill for long-term use may be higher.
